Location

On the BV-4243 road that climbs from Castellar del Riu to the Rasos de Peguera, at kilometre 12.9, 250 metres before reaching the Coll del Sant Crist, on the right-hand side of the road a track closed to vehicles sets off and in 2.1 kilometres leads to the Collada dels Rasets, where there is a pool of water for much of the year.

From the Collada dels Rasets we will follow the track uphill towards the S, in the direction of the Torreta dels Enginyers (antenna installation) for 100 metres, we will turn off 18 metres to the left where we will find the Avenc dels Quatre.

Description

Morphology

Narrow fissure about 3 metres long and with three small superposed chambers due to as many accumulations of blocks. The lowest is at a little more than 7 metres of vertical drop from the surface and at its lowest point a narrow orifice opens that descends about 2 metres more.

History

Explored during 14 and 15 August 1964 by members of the ERE of the AEC. Other members of the same group return to survey it on 18 July 1970.
