Description

Morphology

Cavity with a single 13-metre shaft. Its base is occupied by blocks and mud. The floor forms a ramp that ends in a small pool of water (temporary) at 17 metres depth.

Speleothems

In the upper part of the ramp there is a narrow passage that allows access to a fairly concretion-covered side chamber. Its ceiling seems close to opening to the outside.

Hydrology

This cavity seems to have acted as a swallow hole for the waters of the nearby torrent.

History

First exploration carried out on 11 November 1971 by Carles Ribera (ERE-CEC) and Alfred Montserrat (GE Pedraforca). Unpublished data provided by Alfred Montserrat (ERE - CEC).
