Description
Morphology
It appears as a large hollow in the very middle of the vegetation. It is an old working of “sparry calcite” that descends by short steps down to 4.7 metres. In a S direction it is possible to enter a small underground chamber.
History
Rafael Amat i Carreras, during the campaign of August 1923, located and mentioned a small cavity at the Fondo de la Troneda, calling it the Avenc de la Pineda and attributing to it a depth of 3 metres. The area where this small cavity is found is the only one that in those years and later had pines; now, with the forest repopulations of recent years, they have proliferated much more, which is why we deduce that this is the same cavity to which Amat was referring.
