Località

Leaving Sant Pere de Ribes in the direction of Vilanova along the BV-2117 road, on reaching kilometre 3.9 one must take the turn-off to Can Ramonet. A few metres before reaching an electrical substation one must follow the track on the left in the direction of the Els Vinyals residential area. On crossing a second scree slope one must ascend by a faint path, more or less waymarked, which climbs up to the cavity.

Descrizione

Morfologia

A rift with widths between 1 and 2 metres, easily accessible from the west side. First a level stretch alternating open-air zones and others with blocks wedged in the ceiling. Then a descending ramp with a ceiling until the gallery becomes impenetrable.

Progressione

The low point where the final ramp begins seems to have been enlarged and its passage is roomy enough.

Storia

The first reports of the cavity are those of the members of the GET of AE Talaia (Vilanova i la Geltrú) who explored it around the year 1970. It is currently well known to hikers of the region.

It seems that towards the beginning of the 1970s some archaeological prospecting was carried out with negative results.
