Characteristics

Location

From the coll de les Agulles or Portell Estret you must head for the gully between the agulla d'en Passola and the agulla Sense Nom, to reach the base of the needle known as the Gendarme. Directly below it, on the right-hand side of the gully that climbs up to the left, characterised by an overhang, lies the entrance of the pit, in the form of a cave.

Description

Morphology

The cavity consists of a single shaft 7 metres deep which, although at first, thanks to a sandy stratum, is somewhat comfortable, becomes narrower as you descend. An impenetrable fissure can be seen cutting perpendicularly across the shaft and bringing the cavity to an end.

History

First explored on 24 March 1990 by X.Badiella and M. Quirós (SIS del CE Terrassa). It had been located on the 13th of the same month by the climber Amadeu Pagès of the CE Terrassa.
