Location

To reach the cave, we will leave the vehicle in Serradell, in the E car park of the village. We must take the path that passes above the Font Freda, cross the stream of the Llau de la Font which heads towards the E. When entering the channel that climbs to Les Roques de Llenaspres, and almost without climbing at all, we will see a rock painted with two yellow arrows, one pointing up and the other ahead; we will take the latter. We go along the flat path, crossing the small channel, and after a few metres we will see the entrance of the cave on our left behind an oak and at the foot of the cliff.

Description

Morphology

The cavity consists of a single gallery 85 metres long, ending in a choke of concretions, which in turn covers a notable thickness of sediments. Its characterisation as a currently inactive spring shows us some interesting detail morphologies such as the vertical lobes that testify to various stages of excavation, the chimney, the lateral terraces, etc.

Progression

We will climb about 5 m without any difficulty, helping ourselves with the oak.

History

The first exploration was carried out on 27 August 1910 by Racovitza, Jeannel, Faura i Sans, and Rocafort.
