Location

From Horta de Sant Joan take the track that leads to the recreational area of the Mas de la Franqueta; from there cross the riu dels Estrets and follow the track towards the coll de Miralles and continue towards the coll de Montfort. Before reaching this col, just on the left-hand side of the track, is the entrance of the pit.

Description

Morphology

A 10 metre shaft leads to a fairly large chamber. At the opposite end of the chamber a new shaft, of 8 metres, can be reached, which can be scrambled down among the many blocks that fill it until at its bottom the cavity is closed.

Progression

History

Cavity known to the forest rangers of the area, who alerted members of the Espeleo Club Tortosa, who explored it on 12 October 2013. At the entrance of the pit the initials of the GIEG (Granollers) appear painted, who it seems had explored it in 2001. We do not know whether they named it with any other name.
