Characteristics

Location

From Horta de Sant Joan you must take the track that leads to the recreational area of the Mas de la Franqueta and from there follow the one that climbs to the coll de Monfort. Before this you reach the coll de Miralles. Behind the pool found at this pass a path (sender de l'Escaleta Vella) starts and leads towards Terranyes. A few minutes along the way, in the middle of the forest, you find the Pimpoll, a pine 31 metres tall and declared a monumental tree in 1990. A little further on you find the Pi Ramut, also a monumental tree.

Shortly after, the path makes a sharp turn to the left, and a little further on, in a rock face, the mouth of the pit is found.
