Location

The pit is located in Arnes (el Port). From Horta de Sant Joan, take the track that leads to the recreational area of Mas de la Franqueta; from there, cross the riu dels Estrets and follow the track towards coll de Miralles and continue towards coll de Montfort. Once past this, the track descends and shortly afterwards ends, becoming a footpath. About 20 metres before the end of the track, on the left, is the pit.

Description

Morphology

Through a large entrance, split in two by a block, one enters a small 6-metre shaft. At its bottom, an elongated chamber with a slight slope leads to a new vertical drop, of about 7 metres, occupied by large unstable blocks, and at the bottom of which the passage becomes impassable.
