A 12-metre-deep pit at the coll de Condreu (Susqueda), known since ancient times and explored in 1976 by the Grup Espeleològic de Mollet.

Location

Driving along the C-153 road from Rupit towards Olot, at the height of the coll de Condreu, 135 metres before reaching the turn-off that leads to the sanctuary of the Mare de Deu del Far, we find a private access track on the left of the road. It must be followed for 590 metres, where we will find the entrance to the cavity about 5 metres to the right of the track, shortly before reaching a marked bend to the right. The metal fence surrounding the entrance makes it easier to locate.

Description

Morphology

The entrance is about 3 metres in diameter and gives access to a pit of about 8 metres in depth. At the base of the pit we find a ramp that leads us into a kind of chamber where the cavity ends.

Other details

At the entrance we find a metal mesh that surrounds it to prevent anyone from falling in.

History

Cavity known since ancient times in the area. The first exploration of which we have a record was carried out in 1976 by the Grup Espeleològic de Mollet.
