Location

From Carrer de la Punta del Milà in l'Escala, we head towards the Neus campsite, already in the municipality of Torroella de Montgrí, following the paved track in this section that leads to l'Estartit. When the paved track ends, we come to a junction; we must keep left, and after a few metres we come to a new junction, where we continue straight on. The track continues to an area where we find old buildings; from here we continue in an E direction, crossing the còrrec Llarg and heading towards the Punta de Miladones; the cavity is located beside the cliff that culminates this Punta.

Description

Morphology

The 0.70X0.50 metre entrance leads to a 4-metre downward drop. At its base, and passing through a narrow 0.40X0.35 metre passage, one reaches an 8-metre pit with a floor formed of wedged blocks. At the S end, a new joint-controlled 7-metre pit places us again on a level with blocks, which ends at the NE end in a narrowing at -18 metres. At the SW end, a new 6-metre pit, downclimbable between blocks, allows us to reach -25 metres, the final depth of the fissure.

Explored by the SIE-CEA during the campaign carried out during the years 2007-2008.
