Description

Morphology

It is a stratum open on the SE side of the torrent. The cave is small, with a length of about 6 metres by about 3 in width and 1 at the end; the height ranges from 1.40 metres to 1 metres.

History

Known since ancient times. It seems it served as a hiding place for a priest during the war. It seems that a few metres downstream there was another small cave, now disappeared, where 5 or 6 fugitives hid.

The only data we know are those published by members of the GREV – Biblioteca-Museu Víctor Balaguer (Vilanova i la Geltrú) who visited it on 4 September 1988.

It should not be confused with the Cova de la Rosella, near Rofes and also in the municipality of La Llacuna.
