Location

Above Km. 5 of the BV-2116 road that links the urban centres of Castellet i la Gornal, and Clariana, we will take the descending track towards the Font d'Horta and Cal Bladet for about 180m, until reaching the Font d'Horta bridge where we will leave the vehicle and continue on foot along the path that starts on the other side of the bridge and heads towards the Font d'Horta.

We will go up the Torrent de Font d'Horta for about 700m along the marked path, about 50m after the Font d'Horta which is on the right of the path and about 15m before the Balma de la Font d'Horta.

A very discreet path climbs to the left of the track for about 23m of elevation gain to the entrance of the cavity, located at the base of a small rise.

Taking the Cova de l'Or as a reference, it is to the NW, at an approximate distance of 10 m on a higher level.

Description

Morphology

Cave with an irregular entrance 0.5x1.3 metres high; shortly after entering, the cavity turns towards the N and the floor is covered with blocks. After a small descending step, the cavity ends quickly in some impenetrable cracks in a N and E direction.

History

In December 2017 Jordi Navarro and Montse Mañosa (Centre Excursionista Castellar) visited and surveyed it for its cataloguing.
