Cavity located right on the cliff, with a small terrace and cornice in front of the entrance mouth. Of habitable dimensions, with a rectilinear gallery and some steps that divide the floor into different levels.

To access it we will set out from the Mare de Déu del Castell, a small hermitage located in the upper part of the village of Rivert. We will follow the path that climbs towards the W and in 60 m we will reach a crest. We will leave the path in the direction of the gentle channel located on the left and, with no path now, we will go over it until reaching the next crest in about 120 m. The ravine in front of us is the Barranc del Balç; we will continue descending towards the base of the ravine and follow it downstream until reaching a few metres before the drop formed by la Cova nº 1 les Balçs. A small cornice suspended on the cliff of the left hydrographic slope allows us to reach the mouth of the cavity in about 35 m.

It preserves the smoke-blackened ceilings, which makes evident a historic use of the space by humans.
