Description

Morphology

Completely submerged cavity. It is a conduit approximately 2X2 metres in diameter, which after about fifty metres emerges into an open space under the water, with direct access to the sea, continuing straight ahead, crosses the rock again and emerges into a new space similar to the previous one, then continuing for about twenty metres along a gallery of slightly smaller cross-section.

It should be noted that the branch located furthest S is in fact a gallery somewhat longer than the one shown on the survey and ends in a dead end where there is a small air chamber.

Other details

On the original survey published in Cavernes (23), the North shown there has an error of approximately 90 degrees. This error is repeated in the Catàleg Espeleològic de Catalunya (vol.4, 2010).

History

The oldest data we know of are from the exploration carried out by Diego Ferrer and Sito Ferrer in August 1990.

On 22-08-2017 it was explored by Josep Guarro solo with the support of Joan C. Juderias, who reached it on foot from the beach of Cala Montgó.

Later they returned to it by sea from a boat together with Hilari Moreno during a training course for members of the Unitat Aquàtica dels Mossos d'Esquadra.
