Characteristics

Location

By the BV-1221 road from Terrassa to the Coll d'Estenalles, on reaching kilometre 12.35 at the Xiprers parking area, take the path that climbs to the Coll de Garganta; shortly before reaching it, turn left to follow the path heading to the Morral del Llop, and soon after, on the right, we will find a narrow trail that climbs towards the cliff where we will find the cave.

Description

Morphology

It is an enormous block attached to the cliff face, which along its lower part has left a cave-shaped space 18.5 metres long, allowing it to be crossed by emerging again to the outside at the other end; counting the uncovered part, the route is 22 metres. The section of the gallery along most of the route has a curious five-pointed star shape. Towards the end of the route, the gallery ascends slightly.

History

The first references we have are of a visit made in the fifties of the last century by an anonymous hiker, who it seems left a wooden sign there. It was also known by the tenant farmer of la Mata. In 1997 it was surveyed by members of the GREC.
