Location

The barranc de Tixelles, in its central part, is closed off by a large rocky circle. At this point, at its end and beneath the wall that closes it, the cavity opens.

Coordinates without any precision at all, they only indicate the area where the cavity probably would be.

Description

Morphology

It has a sheltered entrance of 9X7 metres, which gives way to two ascending and parallel galleries, which join at the inner end.

History

The first known reference is from the exploration carried out by J. Castell together with other members of the ERE del CEC during the first half of the 60s of the last century, who carried out the survey.

We attach the two known surveys, redrawn by different authors from the same original by J. Castell (currently lost); one was published in the Catàleg Espeleològic de Catalunya volume 7 (1984) by Joan Borràs, and the other was published in the magazine Espeleòleg nº 34/35 by Alfred Montserrat.
