Large rock shelter at a waterfall on the Riera de Tenes, in Sant Quirze Safaja, formed by water erosion on a step of about 10 metres.

Description
Morphology
Large rock shelter formed by the erosive action of water as it falls over a step about 10 metres high. The overhang extends on either side of the Riera de Tenes and in some places takes on the appearance of a true karst cavity.
Speleothems
Subsequently, many sectors became 'closed off' by deposits of limestone tufa.
Hydrology
At the place where the cavity is located there is a beautiful waterfall, which is the starting point of a water abstraction used to irrigate the neighbouring market gardens.

On the IGCC map it is referenced as Balma del Molí.
History
Known in the area since time immemorial. Despite this, it does not appear in any of the speleological catalogues, neither general nor local, until the authors of the only published note (Pallarès and Aymamí) visited it in November 1992.
At this spot the existence of an old mill is mentioned, of which no trace remains; all that can be seen are a whole series of steps carved into a rock, as well as a vertical groove, which evoke what could have been the access to the workshop and the mill shaft.
