Location

From la Morera de Montsant, take the path towards the Turó de les Tres Roques. Once past this spot, about 5 minutes along, on the left-hand side of the path leading to the grau dels Barrots is the cave.

Description

Morphology

It consists of a single, wide chamber 9 metres long by 3 wide. A dry-stone partition at the entrance mouth attests to its use as a livestock pen.

Clastogenetic-type cavity. A large block that fell from the upper cliff and came to rest on top of others of smaller dimensions was the origin of the cave.

History

Explored and made known by a member of the GE Pedraforca (Barcelona) who visited it in September 1973.
