Cova del Castellot

Petita cova de 12 metres de recorregut a Josa i Tuixén

Josa i Tuixén • Alt Urgell12m6m

Small cave with a 12-metre passage in Josa i Tuixén, with a short ramp that ends collapsed by blocks.

Characteristics

Location

By road, after crossing the Lavansa river, we will reach the plain of the valley where the "Molí de Fórnols" campsite is located. A small bridge crosses the river and the track levels out on the hydrographic left towards Tuixén. Almost after two kilometres, a spur of the mountain range marks its scree slopes at the edge of the track. We will look for its back and park at the river's edge. We will directly take the crest and not leave it until reaching the last step that will place us above the Castellot. Here, to the right and a little below where we are and among the vegetation, are the two entrances of the cave. Approximate coordinates.
