Description
Morphology
At the main entrance, 5 metres high, 2 wide and 2.5 deep at the water, we find a large block that must be climbed over to continue along the gallery, which narrows as it lowers until it almost touches the water. It increases in size again and reaches 22 metres of passage, where it turns left until reaching a beach and entering a chamber 9 metres long, 6.5 wide and 7 metres high; on the right there is a short gallery of 10 metres.
Progression
Returning to the chamber and in the opposite direction from the entrance, we climb over some blocks and the gallery forks. The right-hand gallery at 5 metres opens to the outside among a chaos of blocks. In the left-hand one, with a higher ceiling, we first find two shafts that lead to a lower gallery. This reaches water level, where it becomes narrow and awkward until it exits to the outside. Continuing along the upper one, we again climb over some blocks, then descending to the outside through a narrow hanging entrance (elevation +6).
History
Although they must have been known since time immemorial by the local fishermen, the only reports we have are those published by members of the SIS – CE Terrassa who explored and surveyed it in August 1980.
We think it could be the so-called Cova des Tabaco, which appears in this area on the ICGC maps.
