Location

Follow the same route as for the pits of the Cenyidor and go up the Fondo de les Piques for about 60 metres of elevation gain. Just a few metres from the boundary between the municipalities of Olivella and Begues.

The cave is located within the walls of an old corral, semicircular in shape and about 13 metres in diameter. Visible in the aerial photo.

Description

Morphology

The entrance is 8.25 metres wide and 3.25 metres high and is located inside a corral, on its NW side.

Formed by a single chamber 10.25 metres long and 8.25 metres wide; the ceiling descends as one progresses. At its end it closes in a circular shape.

At the very end of the cave, on the left side, there is a funnel-shaped crawlway 2 metres wide at its beginning, narrowing 2 metres further on.

History

The only reference we have is that of the exploration by members of the Secció d'Espeleologia de la Biblioteca Museu Víctor Balaguer (Vilanova i la Geltrú) on 15 February 1981.
