Description

Morphology

It is a spring where there is a room 5 x 20 metres with a low ceiling and the floor sloping towards the west. The total elevation difference is +3.5 metres.

Hydrology

At the entrance there are two small pools of water.

History

The cavity has been known since ancient times by the people of the village. J. Senent and JM. Victoria mention it in a monographic article on Boumort (Montaña nº 100, 1965), but without providing data. Explored by GIRES Sesrovires in various campaigns carried out in the area in the 1990's.

Bio

Troglocharinus fonti ssp. infernus (Jeannel, 1911). No specimen could be captured, but the remaining elytra found attest to its existence in the cavity.
