Description
Morphology
You enter through a slightly descending gallery, and on the left side of the mouth a short, narrow passage starts that leads to the outside. A few metres further on, and again on the left, another gallery emerges, of slightly larger dimensions than the previous one and which likewise communicates with the outside. Following the entrance gallery you reach a fairly spacious chamber that extends a few metres further. On the right of the chamber, another gallery emerges, rectilinear and about 7 metres long, with its ceiling decorated with many stalactites and where the cave's passage ends. This gallery seems it could have a direct relationship with the gallery of the nearby avenc de l'Era dels Enrics.
Speleothems
The ceiling of the rectilinear gallery 7 metres long is decorated with many stalactites.
Progression
You enter through a slightly descending gallery. Following the entrance gallery you reach a fairly spacious chamber that extends a few metres further. On the right of the chamber, another gallery emerges, rectilinear and about 7 metres long, where the cave's passage ends.
History
The first record of this cavity is from the exploration that took place on 17 April 1911 by members of the Centre Excursionista de Terrassa, led by Domènec Palet i Barba. They also explored the pit of the same name and called the whole complex: cova-avenc Terrassa, thinking it could be the same cavity.
Many years later, in 1957, it was visited by members of GES – CMB. The first survey we know of (1974) is that of SIS – CE Terrassa. You can also find more data on the website: caudelguille.net (Jordi Guillemot).
