Description
Morphology
With an elongated mouth, the first stretch of 5 metres can be advanced standing upright, a place where the cavity changes direction slightly, narrowing and, above all, reducing its height along the only gallery that makes up the cavity. At the end, and when we will be crawling completely, the cavity turns to the left and ends, approximately some 15 metres from the entrance.
Speleothems
We can find some reconstructive processes in the last 5 metres of the cavity, as well as numerous remains of exfoliation of the flowstone, especially notable in the five metres of the entrance.
Progression
It can be reached either by making a very delicate climb of some 7 metres, or by making a rappel of 4 metres anchoring in a group of holm oaks.
History
In a second round of conversations with the Garcia brothers, Miquel told me that a piece of pottery had been found in a cave that had to be climbed. From his description, the place was very close to the cova de La Rebolleda. In June 2003 we found the cave which, just as Miquel Garcia had described to me, had a remarkable route. It is disconcerting, however, the presence of pottery in a cave of such difficult access. If the piece could be recovered, we would probably know that it is the base or the lid of a funerary urn, a fact that would fit better with the morphology of the cavity, with a use of a funerary nature. It seems that this piece of pottery was found inside the small cone of rubble that there is in the change of direction of the cavity.
