Description
Morphology
A descending entrance that reaches sea level. Narrow passage to the W, a small chamber and another narrow passage. Made up of an irregular, narrow, dusty gallery with large angular blocks. Of an unpleasant appearance that does not invite exploration. Structured along NE-SW joints.
David N. Brison, author of the memory sketch that we include, grants it 27 metres of passage, but judging by the scale he draws it seems to have a few more.
History
Certainly known since remote times, although we do not know whether it has any specific name. David N. Brison visited it in 1989, calling it “Cueva Bak's”???. We have considered it more appropriate to name it after the cove where it is located.
Relocated in 2015 by members of the ERE – CEC, but given the appearance of the first metres of gallery they decided to leave it.
David N. Brison had passed us a report that included other cavities visited during his holidays in Salou. Among them were those called Coves 1, 2 i 3 de les Olles de Cortiella, which, given the location he gave, have disappeared due to the installation of a large golf course. He had also visited the Covamar (a place name that still appears on the ICC map) but which would also have disappeared due to the advance in the area of different real estate constructions.
