Hydrology

At one end of the rock shelter there is a point where water springs out; this is collected in an artificial pool, probably made to water livestock. There is also another point of water inflow from the ceiling, which forms a small stream that flows down the mountain.

Other details

It is built with dry-stone walls to keep sheep. Approximate coordinates.

History

Although it has always been known to the local people, it was not until 1981 that Josep de la Vega made it known by publishing it for the first time in “Aplec de documents arqueològics de les coves del Montsec i llur projecció a les comarques i serres properes”.
