Location

The easiest approach is via the grau de Sant Joan, which starts from the ermita de Sant Joan de Codolar and climbs to the pla del Moloner. Once there, you must continue walking to the left in the direction of the grau del Carabassal until you reach the edge of the cliff, above where the path passes. There is a clump of holm oaks and in the middle the mouth of the cave.

Description

Morphology

The entrance, in the form of a rise of about 4 metres, can be descended by opposition, although it is better to rig a short length of rope. At the bottom, a small chamber presents itself full of cracks, of which only one crawlway is penetrable and gives access to the middle of a long hall; to the right it descends in the form of a gravel slope, to the left the hall has more passage. Near the entrance crawlway, a bedding plane gives access to a side chamber with a large central column and behind this, a narrow passage climbs a few metres until it becomes obstructed.

Speleothems

Concretion abounds in the form of columns and gours until reaching a bedding plane that becomes impassable. In the side chamber there is a large central column.
