An 11-metre-deep rock shelter in Tavertet, 20 m wide and with an average height of 3 m, with a gallery that narrows and a millstone cut into a block.

Location

From km 6.73 of the BV-5207 road, where the track (locked with a padlock) that leads to the Noguer begins, we will take a path that starts about 30 m before, which runs level, parallel to the road. After a little more than 100 m the path gains height and we soon reach the balma de la Corbera Vella.

From the shelter we will now continue to the left, enter a shady wood and after 50 m we will find the balma del Secall on the right.

Description

Morphology

Shelter 20 m wide and with an average height of 3 m. In the southern sector there is an 11 m gallery that narrows until it becomes impassable.

Other details

The floor is occupied by blocks, in one of which a millstone is partially cut.

History

Known since time immemorial.
