Balma de les Corts

Balma de les Corts

Gran balma amb salt d'aigua a Tavertet

Tavertet • Osona15m12m

Large rock shelter with a waterfall in Tavertet, with remains of dry-stone walls from the old livestock pens.

Characteristics

Location

We will leave the village of Tavertet, taking a descending path heading west that crosses the stream by the beautiful stone bridge known as the pont del Moli Bernat. Once on the other side, the path continues downstream, parallel to the stream; very soon we will see the pools that form in the stream bed and that precede an important waterfall known as the salt del Moli Bernat, beneath which lies the enormous balma de les Corts. The cobbled path begins to descend steeply to overcome the drop of the cliff, we will pass in front of the ruins of the old mill, and further on we will find a hiking trail on the left, equipped with chains, that leads us to the balma de les Corts, which forms a cirque, where the spectacular Sot de Bala begins.
