Location

Above Km. 5 of the BV-2116 road that links the urban centres of Castellet i la Gornal, and Clariana, we will take the descending track towards the Font d’Horta and Cal Bladet for about 180m, until reaching the Font d'Horta bridge where we will leave the vehicle and continue on foot along the path that starts on the other side of the bridge and heads towards the Font d'Horta.

We will go up the Torrent de Font d'Horta for about 720m along the marked path, about 70m after the Font d'Horta which is on the right of the path.

The rock shelter is also on the right of the path, at the base of a small cliff.

Description

Morphology

Rock shelter formed from an overhang with a plan of approximately 8x4m, noticeably sloping towards the NW and located beneath the cliff.

A fissure in the S wall allows access to a tall joint parallel to the rock shelter itself, in which any continuity is blocked by boulders.

It has a drop of +6 metres.

History

In May 2018 Jordi Navarro and Montse Mañosa (Centre Excursionista Castellar) located it and made the survey.
