Location

Taking the road from Alcover to Capafonts (TV 7041), before reaching Mont-ral and a few metres before reaching Km. 10, a track leaves to the right, asphalted at first, which crosses the Pla de les Perdius. We will always continue straight, ignoring the forks, until the track ends in a widening of it in the middle of the forest, on the ridge of the serra d'en Clarà. From this point and in a N direction a path leaves that leads us to the avenc del Cabirol. From here it is necessary to continue in a direction O25N for a little more than a hundred metres, although the path opened through the dense forest makes a few zigzags. The first entrance we find is that of the NR-6, a few metres further on we find that of the NR-5 and a little further on there is the NR-4.

Description

Morphology

From the entrance of the NR-6 we access a pit of about 5 metres' depth; at its base a descending ramp leads us to a climbable-down drop of 2.40 metres; at the base a short ramp places us at the point of maximum depth -12.50 metres; vertically above this point is the entrance of the NR-5. The gallery continues flat for about 3 metres, before beginning an inclined ascent that will take us outside through the entrance of the NR-4.

History

From the little data available, it seems that it was located and explored by the AAEET de Valls in 1998, during the prospections carried out in this area. We do not know the meaning of the initials NR with which they named some of the cavities of this sector.
