Location

In the Serra del Cairat, east of the coll de Cassot, on the side of the torrent de Sant Salvador. Very close to the Cova del Mussol, from which it is a scant 16 metres away in a S direction. Approximate coordinates and difficult location. The topography section includes a map prepared by Xavier Badiella showing most of the cavities in the area, which may help in locating it.

Description

Morphology

The cavity has two entrances. The one closest to the cingle is in the form of a descending gallery; at the end of this, on its left side, a narrow passage can be seen leading to a small 5-metre pit. Further to the W, through a crouched passage, one can return to the outside through a second opening. From this opening a descending gallery in the shape of an “L” emerges, about 8 metres long.

Progression

The descending gallery of the entrance closest to the cingle ends in a narrow passage leading to a small 5-metre pit, which is descended without difficulty to a short gallery filled with blocks. Climbing back up the small pit reaches a short gallery through which outside light enters between the blocks, but access is apparently impossible.
