Cova del Mussol

The cavity has several entrances; the first we come across is vertical and allows us to descend between blocks down to a ledge from which two fissures lead off. One, in a S direction, is reached via a 2.5 metre drop and takes us to another, parallel fissure, about 2 metres more in depth, which leaves us at the point of maximum depth (level – 10). The main gallery of the cavity, reached just at its midpoint, can be followed towards the W via a narrow drop and continued along a sinuous fissure until reaching a small chamber where the cavity ends. On the E side the gallery is more spacious and opens to the outside through an opening that has a lower chamber beneath the main gallery. On the outside of the cliff and in a S direction, we reach the other part of the cave, made up of a single gallery about 8 metres long, quite high but much interrupted by the accumulation of large blocks.
