Location

At the head of the Fondo de la Pleta. We will begin descending this fondo along a faint path (currently marked with cairns) that would take us to the Avenc de la Pleta. Shortly before reaching it and still at the head, on the left slope of the torrent and half hidden by vegetation, is the pit.

Description

Morphology

We find three narrow entrances arranged along a NW – SE joint. Only the middle one is accessible, since the one located to the NW, although it is one metre long, has a block wedged in the middle. The opening located to the SE is 0.70 x 0.25 metres. Therefore we will enter through the very narrow middle entrance, which is 0.71 x 0.30 metres. After descending the 3.5-metre shaft, we reach a descending ramp 0.65 metres wide. Overcoming a 1.40-metre step, we find on our left a descending conduit that changes direction and has dimensions of 0.70 metres wide by 0.30 metres high. Three metres further on there is another 0.70-metre step. Here, on the right, we find access to a small ascending gallery 3 metres long.

History

Despite being a hole detected for some years, no one had ever taken the trouble to catalogue it. Rediscovered by Josep Cuenca, with his colleagues from the GE Badalona they explore and survey it in June 2011.
