Shortly before kilometre 7 of the road from Terrassa to Talamanca is the torrent de la Riba, which must be followed upstream, and before reaching the well-known Salt de la Riba, on the right is the confluence with a torrent that comes down from the turó de la Carlina. Going up this for about 200 metres, we will find a lime kiln on the left, and going up on the right (left hydrographic slope) about 40 metres is the entrance of the pit.

The authors of the original record call it Avenc del Torrent de la Cardina (as this hill appeared in the old editions of the Editorial Alpina maps).

According to the coordinates of the SIS – CET, the pit would be on the left of a path that climbs from the torrent de la Torrota towards the carena del Pou de Glaç.
