Location

From Pratdip one must set out in a S direction along the short-distance path PR C 90 that runs parallel to the road until reaching the small chapel of Sant Isidre. Here it climbs towards the mountain of the Marquès until reaching the coll del Marquès. The pit is located a hundred metres to the N of this col. Difficult to locate due to the existing vegetation. Approximate coordinates.

Description

Morphology

Through an almost triangular opening one enters a small shaft 6 metres deep, which places us on top of a debris cone that forms the base of a diaclase 1.20 metres wide. The cavity continues in both directions of the debris cone; towards the west it continues a few metres and ends obstructed by blocks.

Progression

Again at the base of the shaft and in a NNE direction, the gallery continues some 7 metres more on a slight slope and from here turns sharply to the right and one can descend through the narrow diaclase until it remains totally plugged by clastic materials.

History

The only references we have are those of the exploration carried out by members of the GEP of the Agrupació Excursionista Pedraforca (Barcelona) on 1 November 1974, although it seems that previously it had already been explored by Tarragonese or Reus speleologists.
