Characteristics

Location

We will start from Port del Comte, from the chalet on the pla de Bacies heading SE, first over grassy terrain. Little by little we will gain height until we reach a small col with a telecommunications hut (2,130 m). If we descend in a southerly direction, down this large funnel-shaped slope, we will come out at a sloping terrace, passing through a wide gully with scree. Turning left in an easterly direction, about 50 m away at the foot of the limestone wall, we will find the avenc del Llop (2,010 m). We will still find there the stainless steel plaque that was placed right on top of it. Approximate coordinates to be checked.

Description

Morphology

The entrance is very narrow, followed by a drop of -2 metres, where we find a fork. To the W, we will reach a chamber that has a window to the outside through which jackdaws enter. From the chamber and in a northerly direction, we will continue along a narrow fissure that descends approximately some 10 metres. Returning to the fork and in a northerly direction, we will continue through two small consecutive chambers, then descend into a chamber that has a chimney and below it a wolf skull. We will continue through three chambers joined by narrow passages, where scattered on the ground we will keep finding bones. From here in an easterly direction, we will reach a long chamber with a hole on the right that descends among fallen blocks, and on the left a hole that gives access to a chamber with lithogenic formations, at the end of which there is an impenetrable pit at 5 metres, also formed by small blocks.

Speleothems

At the end of a chamber with lithogenic formations there is an impenetrable pit at 5 metres, also formed by small blocks.
