Characteristics

Location

Once the climb up to the Mola de Catí has been overcome, one must follow the track that crosses it for about 700 metres, and a few metres to the left of the same track is the entrance to the cavity.

Description

Morphology

It is a simple cavity made up of a single shaft, 19 metres deep, of medium proportions and elliptical shape. The entrance lies at the bottom of a doline-like depression, with one steep side and the other formed by a strong slope about 10 metres long that connects with the shaft.

History

Possibly the first exploration was carried out by members of the SES – CE Puigmal (Barcelona) around the year 1958, and we think as a result of the indications of Mr. Rafael Cohí, a tireless hiker from Tortosa of that time.
