Location

Following the route that leads to the avenc de la Ferla, after passing the fork where we leave the GR (coll de la Ferla), we descend about 200 metres and just before the mouth of the avenc de la Ferla comes into view, we must turn left. About 30 metres on, beneath a block half covered by vegetation, we will find the mouth of the avenc de les Cuetes.

Description

Morphology

Through a 0.70x0.40 metre mouth, and after a tiny ramp we reach a P-2.50 metres that takes us to a ledge. From this point we will descend a P-9.20 metres, this is a pit 1.50 metres in diameter with no break in continuity. Descending 4.50 metres down the aforementioned pit, we find a ledge where the head of a P-10.50 metres is located, quite narrow and irregular at about 0.40x0.70 metres. The lowest point of this pit places us at -19 metres deep.

Progression

Although it can be descended by ramonage, it is advisable to do so by rappel.

History

Pit first explored by SES-CE Puigmal (Barcelona) in 1963, with a survey by Emili Sabaté published in 1974 in the speleological catalogue of Garraf, but with a totally erroneous location.

On 25 May 2008, and within the prospecting work carried out around la Ferla in order to determine possible relationships with the new discoveries made by GE Badalona, the cavity is located, thanks to the indications of Ramon Canela, and a new survey of it is made.
