Description

Morphology

Made up of a single small shaft 2.5 metres deep, reached through an opening of about 0.7 metres.

Other details

It appears to be an old sinkhole that became inactive due to the shifting of the stream. We do not know whether an unblocking is feasible or whether a connection with its neighbour the Avenc de la Ferla would be possible. No survey is available.

History

This very small cavity has gone practically unnoticed since members of GES – CMB discovered and explored it in May 1955.
