Location

We do not know the exact location of the cavity. The original record gives no location data. On the ICGC map, a farmhouse called Mas del Jaumó is marked in the area, near which we have provisionally placed the cavity.

Prospecting in the area is very difficult due to the abundant vegetation covering the relief, and passage is only possible along the most usual paths. Moreover, most farmhouses are abandoned, and those that are preserved have largely been bought or rented by outsiders who do not know the territory.

The coordinates only indicate the area where we think the cavity should be found.

Description

Morphology

A chamber 7 metres long by 3 wide, located 3 metres from the outside, forms the entrance to the cavity. Its floor is completely occupied by blocks, which form a step up until reaching a straight, flat gallery 14 metres long, which gradually narrows until it becomes impassable.

History

According to old records of the GES – CMB, N. Llopis Lladó explored around 1934 or 1935 a series of cavities in this southern area of the municipality of Tivissa. Of all of them, only the one he called Avenc del Racó de Reboig has been located (later catalogued as Avenc del Racó d'en Juny). The location of all these cavities is very imprecise and in some cases nonexistent. Most references speak of Mas Pellisé, but neither in old nor in the most modern cartography do we find references to this farmhouse.
