Description
Morphology
A first 5-metre drop places us at the start of a narrow laminador (the most awkward passage of the whole cavity), which gives way to a fairly wide 14-metre pit. Just about 4 metres below the laminador there is a bottomless meander that, after passing a window, places us at the start of the so-called “Via A”. We reach a small chamber and continue through a passage made between columns and flowstone, leading to a bell-shaped 7 m pit, with a very narrow base; half a metre from the floor the continuation is found in a 13 m pit, the base of which communicates with “Via B” by means of two wide portals. From here a pronounced meander of comfortable progression exits until reaching a 3-metre drop. Below the meander there is a narrow and long crawlway obstructed at some points by wood and stones. The base of the 3-metre drop gives way to a 5-metre pit; 3 metres from the floor a narrow passage gives access to a conduit that leads to the head of the final pit (represented in the sketch on the survey). The continuation follows a modest meander on a pronounced slope that places us in a wide 9-metre pit. The long base of this gives us two continuations: on one hand, an easy crawlway leads us back to “Via B” a few metres from its end. The most feasible and wide one places us at a window halfway down a pit and 12 metres from its base, where two large blocks hide a short drop where -83 metres is reached.
Located again at the entrance of the cavity and having descended the 14-metre pit we are at “Via B”, we reach the dome of a stepped pit easily downclimbable; at the base we find the junction with the other Via; at one end a short narrow passage opens that leads us to an inclined pit, which links with a beautiful P-6 followed by a P-7 and a P-17 of cylindrical forms; at the base of this last pit we find a meander of reduced section that leads us to a 3-metre drop, which places us in an elongated chamber where two vertical continuations open; through the wider one we descend a 5-metre pit where we find two small chambers of little importance and some crawlways that end obstructed. Through the other continuation, a drop of a few metres gives onto a low passage, behind which begins an ascending gallery that ends up becoming impenetrable.
Speleothems
Passage made between columns and flowstone. The base of the 3-metre drop is on a large flowstone.
Hydrology
The base of the 3-metre drop is usually covered with water.

History
Unobstructed and explored by the ERE of the AEC of Vallirana during the years 1969-1970.
Currently both this cavity and the neighbouring Pompeu Fabra are not affected by the quarry, since an agreement was reached between the “extracting” company and the department of Medi Ambient of the Generalitat, specifically the Secció de Restauració d'Activitats Extractives, to modify the limits of the quarry so that neither of the two cavities would be affected. In that meeting at the foot of the cavity held in 1997 in order to preserve the speleological heritage, the head of the Secció de Restauració and the manager of the company owning the “pedrera de Can Montaner” took part, with the participation of the late Albert Vergés and Francesc Rubinat, former presidents of the Federació Catalana d'Espeleología, as well as Pablo García, former ecology member of the FCE.
Unfortunately, the restoration works have not even begun after 12 years, when at that time they were already planned to be done.
