Fígols i Alinyà, in the comarca of Alt Urgell, brings together 16 catalogued cavities: 9 pits and 7 caves. The group totals a length of 685 metres and reaches a maximum depth of 32 metres. All the cavities develop in limestone.
The longest cavity is the Cova de Montaner, with 232 metres, which is also the deepest, with 32 metres. Other notable cavities are the Esquerdot de Montaner, of 79 metres, and the Cova de la Dolina Bufadora, of 49 metres. Among the pits, the Avenc de Caferna reaches 24 metres of depth and the Grallera de Prat Rodó, 22 metres, with an entrance of 4 metres and a shaft of 17 metres.
