Small cave with a 12-metre passage in the municipality of Les Avellanes i Santa Linya, in the Mont-roig mountain range.

Caratteristiche

Località

It is located in the Mont-roig mountain range. To get there, go to the village of Vilanova de la Sal and continue towards the railway halt; turn right towards the hermitage of Montalegre. Once at the junction leading to the hermitage, take the track on the right towards the coll de Porta. Once past it, and as you begin to descend the track along the north slope of Mont-roig, you will see the entrance of the cova del Lladre hanging on the right of a torrent; you must continue to it and then to the cliff. The cave hangs in this cliff about 10 metres above.

It is a 10-metre passage where at its final part we find a small crawl of 2 metres in length.

Very probably this cave is related to the neighbouring cova del Lladre.

Discovered and explored by GEFOMA on 8 April 1977.
