Characteristics

Location

Located in Bellver de Cerdanya, we go to the nearby hamlet of Talló where we take the paved track (1.5 Km) which, passing by the ermita de Sant Serni, goes into the Vall de l'Ingla in the direction of the refugi dels Cortals. From the ermita onwards the track is dirt, suitable for any vehicle. After 3.6 Km we find the picnic area of the font de l'Ingla. We continue 0.6 Km to a crossroads with a characteristic monument consisting of a beam and a stone on top. We take the track on the left in the direction of the refugi dels Cortals until a very pronounced bend to the right where we can leave the vehicle. The Torrent de Fontfreda passes through here and one of the entrances of the cavity can already be seen on a nearby rocky spur. From the same bend we go up about 50 m along the torrent until we find a cairn. From here we will go up the hydrographic right slope cross-country for about 10 minutes (there are cairns) until we reach the base of the rocky spur where the entrance of the cave, of difficult access, can be seen. If we pass on the right and go up 10 m of elevation gain we will arrive on foot at the upper entrance hidden among the box trees.

Progression

From the same bend we go up about 50 m along the torrent until we find a cairn. From here we will go up the hydrographic right slope cross-country for about 10 minutes (there are cairns) until we reach the base of the rocky spur where the entrance of the cave, of difficult access, can be seen. Judging by the remains of excrement, bones and other remains, it seems to serve as a refuge for some animal.
