Description

Morphology

The Bauma-shaped entrance gives access to an ascending step that places us in a gallery running NW, at the end of which a tiny opening leads to the outside. Halfway along the gallery, we find a conduit running NE, which places us in a kind of chamber divided by blocks. The cave has 41 metres of passage and a positive height difference of +7 metres.

Speleothems

In the N part of the chamber divided by blocks we find some parietal formations.

Progression

Towards the SE a narrow gallery opens up that was cleared for a few metres until finally continuing was abandoned.

History

This small cave was explored on 20 May 1995 by the SIE del CE Àliga; at that time they named it “Coveta del Querant de l'Os”.

In 2001, once the new galleries found in the cova Cuberes were known, the SIE explored it again due to its proximity to the “Fractura Perversa” of the Cova Cuberes; during the exploration they carried out various clearings of narrow passages in the already known section to facilitate passage, as well as an important clearing at the final crawl that did not obtain positive results.
