Location

It is found on the N slope of the serra de Blancafort. Following the track from the Mas de Marcó to the font de l'Obaga, the latter already in the Mont de Vi, and shortly before the col between this and the serra de Blancafort, we find on the right a half-lost path; at the end of it one must climb up to the ridge where there is a half-lost footpath. The entrance of the cavity is located 50 metres further down, difficult to find as it is very hidden by the vegetation, despite the cairns placed. Approximate coordinates without much reliability.

Description

Morphology

The 14x2 metre entrance gives access to a joint of SE-NW orientation that forms the cavity.

Progression

A descending ramp leads us to a first 6-metre drop; at its base and among unstable blocks one can progress to the entrance of the second pit, which is quite narrow and has a drop of 15 metres. Following the joint between steep ramps and drops, one reaches the -49 metre level, where the cavity widens; at this point one can still descend about 8 metres more until the joint becomes definitively impassable.

History

It was very probably explored by the ERE del CEC at the end of the 1960s, since the first reference to this cavity is given by the ERE del CEC in the “Primer Congreso Nacional de Espeleología” held in Barcelona in 1970, but the first known survey was made by the GELL in 1990.
