Location

According to the references of the first explorers (ERE del CEC), the cavity would be located on the hydrographic right of a torrent that begins to the W of the masia de les Arcades, and consequently it would be to the E of the masia del Caritg and slightly below it. According to data from the GEB, the entrance could be covered. Coordinates with no reliability whatsoever.

Description

Morphology

It consists of a single shaft of just over 5 metres deep; on the N side of the base, a small step places us at the lowest point of the cavity.

History

Explored by the ERE del CEC in 1973.

Toponymy: According to the ICC and the official gazetteer of Catalonia, the name they give to the masia is Carig, while the Generalitat in the Inventari arquitectònic call it Caritg; the latter is a surname well recognised in the Alt Empordà.
