Susqueda • Selva23m14m

Small pit 14 metres deep near the Santuari de la Mare de Deu del Far, Susqueda. First explored in 1976 by the Grup Espeleològic de Mollet.

Characteristics

Location

Driving along the C-153 road, once we reach the coll de Condreu, we will turn off towards the santuari de la Mare de Deu del Far. On reaching the ermita de Santa Anna, on the right-hand side of the road a track starts that in 50 metres brings us to a kind of concrete tanks, right beside a power line. We pass under this line and head SW, where after 15 metres of walking we will find the cavity.

Description

Morphology

The cavity forms an upper depression of -4 metres, with a hole at its bottom, which after a step down reaches a small lower gallery, ending above a narrow impenetrable shaft.

Other details

The cavity is in a sorry state, full of refuse waste, and judging by its characteristics, most probably coming from some catering establishment in the area.

History

The first exploration of which we have record is the one carried out in 1976 by the Grup Espeleològic de Mollet.
